Blessed

I heard on a radioshow this week something very interesting. Someone said that if an individual makes $9000.00 a year in the United States,he is considered to be at poverty level. This still, they said places one in the top 12% of the richest people in the world. WOW!! We truly are blessed. As I thought about this it just reminded me of the charge by Paul to be always thankful. Also It made me wonder if I am doing enough to help the impoverished. What do you guys think?

Hi Pastor Greg... Yes, remembering that we are truly blessed can be a struggle in daily life. Your posting is insperational.. As far as the pro teams... Us Texans know there are really only a few PRO teams! Go Cowboys... this is our year a comin'!

You know, that is something to ponder.
We have houses, food, clothes, cars ... just to have our families with us is a blessing in itself!
Are we willing to leave the comfort of what we know to help those in need? That's my struggle. I can do it conceptually, but when it comes down to loving and caring for people who aren't that lovable in real life, sometimes (more than I'd like), I shy away.
I wonder how much we really need to live on? Do we need $9000 per person?
